Lani Gobaleza is a Filipina American writer, small business owner, and actress. She studied history at UC Berkeley and taught English in Japan with the JET Program before working in marketing and tech. In 2015, her short story "Every Day Vanilla" was published in the anthology Sunshine/Noir II: Writing From San Diego and Tijuana by City Works Press, and in 2023, she adapted the story for her debut play.
Lani lives in San Diego, where she has owned and operated a tea company, PARU, with her partner since 2017. She is also a copywriter for Small Business Empowerment (SBE) at Amazon. Most recently, Lani joined the cast of the short film “YOU + ME WILL ALWAYS BE BACK THEN” (Dir. Marissa Roxas).
